Council Member Bill Spelman Place 5 City Council meets at City Hall, 301 W. 2nd Street. Meetings begin 10 a.m. on most Thursdays. Austin City Council meetings are broadcast on municipal TV cable Channel 6 and also simulcast on KAZI-88.7 FM radio starting at 1:30pm. Council meetings are also streamed live on the Web on the Channel 6 Web site. There are seven members on the Austin City Council: one Mayor and six Council Members.
